What's Wrong?

Las Vegas is booming with growth and sometimes that makes for some pretty interesting sites. Check out this nice tall ponderosa pine growing in the middle of the desert. But wait! Look a little closer and discover that it's not all that meets the eye!

This is fake?
Is it used for military action? =)
No, to be honest, I don't completely get what it is and what it's good for... please explain!

I don't get it. Is it the letter 'HH' on the top of the tree?

I suppose it is used for mobile phones, right ?

Mobile phone tower! But is the whole tree fake or has the poor tree ben pressed into service? Actually, it looks fake - like the hook in branches on an artificial Xmas tree :-)

You're right! It is cell phone tower. We've seen a lot of these pop up (mostly in the form of fake palm trees) in the valley with the population growth we've had. The trees are indeed totally fake. They are a bit strange looking but on the bright side our cell phone reception is much better than it used to be!
