Fast Wings

As I was working yesterday, I saw a trio of Butterfly Moths ( I don't know their actual name, but that is what we always called them) flitting around some of the flowers. To give you an Idea of how fast the wings are going, i had to use a flash and an ISO 1600, with the corresponding aperature and shutter speeds- and that still didn't stop the wings! some of the pics I got look sort of like ghosts... maybe they should be called Ghost Moths...

Here in Ohio, we call them Hummingbird Moths because they are often mistaken for the Ruby-throated hummingbird and because they fly like the hummingbirds fly. Nice shot.
