Golden Opportunity

I was out hiking yesterday, and saw my Golden Picture of the day fly by! It was a Golden Eagle! I've seen them before, but this is the first one I was able to get a picture of (that came out anyway). There is some good information on them on wikipedia and on the audobon society webpages. They like the more temperate mountainous areas, and are found all over the world, including Japan, Europe and North America.

At first I thought this was a Coopers Hawk. I guess not though. Nice shot.

Senor Lincoln! yeah, I had a hard time identifying it, but due to the size (its was really big) and where I was out taking pictures, I'm sure it is a Golden Eagle. There are several different subspecies of the eagle I found, and they don't all look alike..
